Puttin Pantry ™ is a charity workshop that combines team-building challenges with the bonding effects of working to help those in need in the Indianapolis community.
It’s fun for all, developed by professionals who understand how to bring teams together for enhanced performance.
Bring Out the High-Performance “Driver” in All Your Team Members!
When teams work towards something they all believe in, the results are multiplied by the power of ten. When each and every team member contributes, it’s even better.
In this case, the common goal is to help out local food banks, shelters or any charitable organization in Indianapolis which offers non-perishable food items to those who need them. Your teams will work through a series of fun yet challenging activities designed to bring out the best in every individual.
But what do boxes of food have to do with team building? Here’s how it works:
Puttin Pantry ™ Brings Your Team Together by Doing Good
Teams will be given a multi-stage challenge: to design, construct and test a mini golf course. The building blocks are non-perishable food items, which are donated to a local food bank after the event has taken place.
Each phase of the project comes with its own particular set of challenges for your team, ensuring that they’re honing their team work skills while they have fun.
The design phase requires your team to collaborate effectively…after all, designing a golf course takes vision. In real life, they call people who design courses for a living “architects”. There’s a bit of creativity involved, as well as superior organization skills and planning techniques.
After the design phase comes construction- that’s where the organization comes in. Finally, teams will compete on their mini golf courses to see who did the best job. All in all, they’ll be putting to the test several important work place skills which are completely transferable back to the office environment:
- resource management
- measuring success
- using feedback to improve outcomes
Driving Home Success For Long Lasting Results
Puttin Pantry™ stresses the value of getting every team member’s input on group projects. That takes an appreciation of the wide variety of strengths found in any group, a hard lesson to learn in come cases. The non-threatening environment cultivated by our professional facilitators encourages growth and the courage to try new patterns of communication. Groups come away with a new-found sense of teamwork, personal development and all-around confidence in their communication skills.
Everyone wins in this game of golf!
